Forming
08/2024

In my early works, I explored the transformative potential of flat silver sheets. By wearing those brooches, the pieces continually interacted with their environment, accumulating scratches that traced external influences.

This observation led me to consider other materials naturally sculpted by elements—particularly pebbles. Formed from rocks smoothed by water over time, pebbles embody the memory of nature's carving, resonating deeply with my artistic vision.

Using handmade pebble molds, I anneal and hammer silver sheets into three-dimensional forms, retaining the texture of paper and the inherent malleability of metal.

When worn, the silver interacts with the environment, collecting marks and scratches that mirror nature's action on pebbles. This process emphasizes the beauty of impermanence, as each piece evolves and tells a personal story, reflecting the passage of time and the experiences of its wearer.
